This is an overview of an article penned:
The Five Basic Laws of Stupidity by Carlo M. Cipolla.

Mr. Cipolla was an Italian, economic history professor from the University of California (Berkeley). In 1976, he published an article outlining The Five Basic Laws of Stupidity.

We can’t tell if he was joking or serious in writing this but the points he makes are pretty interesting and is useful tool with regard to observing people in our lives. He perceived stupidity as being one of humanity’s greatest existential threats.
